Oklahoma man injured in I-70 wreck…and other headlines: February 27, 2017

A man from Oklahoma is in the hospital after rolling his Jeep on I-70. It happened just west of Grinnell in Gove County. Accident investigators believe he drifted into the median, over-corrected, hit a fence and rolled several times.
Investigators haven’t spoken publicly about what started a fire that killed a man from Arizona as he was in an apartment in Hutchinson. He was alone at the time of the fire early Saturday. Crews found his body after knocking down the flames.
Activists fire back at Senator Pat Roberts, who claims members of a group that protested outside his office in Overland Park were there to “bully” and “intimidate” his staff. He also repeated the still unsubstantiated claim that the protesters are being paid. One of the organizers says the senator has “no idea what he’s talking about because he’s never spoken to any of us.”
No initial reports of damage or injuries after the fifth earthquake of the month shook parts of Kansas. The magnitude 2.6 quake was centered about 12 miles west of Harper. The USGS calls that earthquake the smallest of the five in the region in February.
The BTK serial killer’s daughter is writing a book about dealing with the emotional trauma of discovering that her father had killed 10 people. She says the writing process has been therapeutic. Dennis Rader was convicted of the BTK murders in Wichita between 1974 and 1991.
